Wild Thyme: The must have immune system booster for children

Thyme is a must have herb for an effective immune system boost during the cold and flue season.

It is also an amazing culinary spice.


Thyme has been used as traditional medicine for thousands of years. It is still one of the most recommended herbs in Europe that helps to fight infections such as respiratory infection, cough and shore throat. Thanks to its thymol content, a versatile oil found in Thyme, it also has an antibacterial property.



Wild Thyme is gently and safe enough to use from an age of 2 years old, but at the same time strong enough to get the job done.


To make a tea for kids: Add one teaspoon wild thyme to 2,5 dl of boiling water. Let it steep about 15 minutes and strain it down. You always can add some honey to sweeten it up for your little one.


You can also use wild thyme as a bath tea up to 3 times a week, adding it to your children bath water to boost their immune system.

To do so, use 1 tablespoon dried herb in a muslin bag/tea bag and put it in the bath before you open the tap.
